The Vientiane Capitol began as Capitol Residence, built in 2013 with a vision of creating a welcoming place in the heart of the city, not only for guests, but for family and friends as well.

From its earliest days, the property was thoughtfully designed as a home away from home. The name Capitol Residencewas inspired by Capitol Hill in Seattle - a neighborhood admired for its strong sense of community, character, and everyday living. Those same values continue to shape The Vientiane Capitol today.

Today, as The Vientiane Capitol, it continues that story with a quieter identity. Gentle touches of Lao textiles, natural materials, and local craftsmanship have been thoughtfully woven throughout, bringing warmth, character, and a deeper connection to its surroundings.
